Boks Set to Host the Azzurri
SA Rugby announced on Wednesday that the Springboks will host Italy, Georgia, Australia, and Argentina in South Africa in 2025.
The dates for the Tests in the Incoming Series and the home segment of the Rugby Championship have been established, but SA Rugby will reveal venues and kickoff times at a later date.
Italy will be making their first trip to South Africa since 2013, facing the Boks on 5 and 12 July. The Azzurri have visited South Africa seven times for Tests since their initial visit in 1999.
A week later, the Springboks will face Georgia at home for the second time, as part of World Rugby’s initiative to expose emerging teams to elite competition.
The Lelos previously played against the Boks in Pretoria in 2021, prior to the Covid-affected tour of the British & Irish Lions.
The Springboks will kick off their Rugby Championship title defense against the Wallabies on consecutive weekends in August, specifically on the 16th and 23rd.
