The married winner recounted receiving a call from the bank the morning following the draw.

“They informed me of my significant win. Both my wife and I were in disbelief at first. I immediately went to the Ithuba offices to confirm the news.

“I’ve never felt so happy and relieved about this win—it’s going to transform my life forever.”

The winner received the impressive jackpot amount of R77,428,794.30 from the November 26, 2024 draw.

The lucky winner shared with National Lottery Ithuba that he has ambitious plans ahead.

“I am finally going to launch the business I’ve dreamed of for years but lacked the funds to initiate.

“Additionally, I will pay off our mortgage and invest in our children’s future.”

Despite his excitement, the winner is adopting a cautious approach to managing his newfound wealth:

“I intend to take my time considering my options. I plan to engage in multiple sessions with a financial advisor to make informed decisions on how to spend and invest this money wisely.”

Ithuba revealed that the man bought his ticket using a banking app.

He spent R90 and opted to select his numbers manually.
