Tribute Show Honors Boeta Maan Adams on His 80th Birthday
In a touching homage to a musical legend, brothers Loukmaan and Emo Adams plan to celebrate their father’s 80th birthday with a fantastic concert entitled Father Love!
Scheduled for 22 January 2025 at the Artscape Theatre, the event promises to be an unforgettable night filled with music, laughter, and reminiscences that honor the life and legacy of Omar “Boeta Maan” Adams.
The concert aims to pay tribute to Boeta Maan, affectionately known as Mr. YumYum, who has been instrumental in shaping the cultural scene of Cape Town.
Recognized as the godfather and founder of the renowned Kinnes van die Ses troupe, Boeta Maan has educated and inspired countless artists, including his own sons, who have gone on to achieve global acclaim.
This concert goes beyond celebrating a significant birthday; it serves as a gathering for everyone who has been touched by his artistry throughout the years.
Ouboet Loukmaan shared with the Daily Voice: “Our father has always been a cornerstone in our community and an inspirational figure for many.”
Emo supports this perspective, adding: “This concert is our means of honoring him and the successful careers he has helped us cultivate.”
