Ryk is an accomplished financial journalist with more than 25 years of experience. Currently, he serves as the editor of Moneyweb and hosts RSG Geldsake, the leading business radio show in South Africa.
Before joining Moneyweb in 2011, he held the position of national editor for Media24’s daily business publications.
Ryk is a well-respected public speaker and facilitator, often sharing his expertise on political and economic matters in various local and international media. His focus is on financial investigative journalism, and he has earned numerous accolades throughout his career.
He holds an MBL from Unisa and an M.Phil in Journalism from Stellenbosch University, both awarded cum laude.
