UNITED KLAP IN BOURNEMOUTH, USA

MANCHESTER United achieved their second consecutive win with a commanding 4-1 triumph over Bournemouth during the Premier League Summer Series pre-season tournament held in Chicago on Wednesday.

With goals from Rasmus Hojlund, Patrick Dorgu, Amad Diallo, and young star Ethan Williams, Ruben Amorim’s span celebrated an impressive outcome amid rainy and windy conditions at Soldier Field.

United opened the scoring in just eight minutes with a goal from Hojlund.

Dorgu delivered a tempting cross from the left wing, allowing Denmark international Hojlund to perfectly time his run and header, finding the net past Bournemouth goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic.

Dorgu extended United’s advantage in the 25th minute, seizing a slim lofted free-kick from Mason Mount, powering into the box, and coolly finishing beneath an approaching Petrovic.

Diallo added the third goal for United in the 53rd minute before Amorim opted for nine substitutions with 20 minutes remaining.

Substitute Williams made an immediate impact, scoring just two minutes after coming on with a precise low shot into the bottom corner, increasing United’s lead to 4-0.

The only downside to United’s display was an own goal by Matthijs de Ligt in the 88th minute.
