Her two goals came after a promising start for Arsenal, with Alessia Russo putting the Gunners in front early in the match.

Beth Mead expertly assisted the striker, delivering the ball after demonstrating impressive footwork, enabling Russo to send her shot into the bottom-right corner.

OL Lyonnes quickly struck back, ramping up the pressure on the reigning champions. Dumornay seized on a poor pass from Daphne van Domselaar and smoothly placed her shot into an open net.

A follow-up error allowed Arsenal to concede again shortly after, as a misclearance from 19-year-old Katie Reid—after Mariona Caldentey lost the ball to Lindsey Heaps—was intercepted by Dumornay, who sent her shot into the top-left corner.

The Gunners nearly equalized right after the half-time whistle, with Caldentey’s shot deflecting out thanks to the fingertips of Christiane Endler.

However, that was their biggest chance in the second half as the visitors continued to dominate.
