He is still the youngest player to score in a World Cup final and later won two additional Jules Rimet Trophies.

This extraordinary No. 10 jersey will be auctioned by Sotheby’s as the exclusive item in their “The Beautiful Game” sale, taking place in New York.

Bidding is set to begin on June 29—exactly 68 years after Brazil’s monumental victory.

Pelé captured his second World Cup title 12 years later in 1970.

Pelé, who netted an impressive 1,281 goals during his illustrious career, passed away in 2022 at the age of 82.

Sotheby’s commented: “This shirt has not been exhibited publicly in over twenty years.

“Its significance in the realm of football memorabilia is unparalleled.

“The shirt’s authenticity has been verified by four members of the 1958 World Cup-winning team.”
