Two Men Shot in Parkwood

Early on Monday morning, two men were fatally shot in Parkwood, with suspicions pointing to a gang-related incident.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg reported that the shooting occurred at approximately 5:15 AM in Willow Walk, where the victims, aged 26 and 35 and known as Tolla and Boy, were approached by an unidentified gunman who opened fire.

Twigg stated: “Grassy Park police received a report of a shooting on Monday, 18 May 2026, around 5:15 AM, in Willow Walk, Parkwood. Upon arrival, officers discovered two males, aged 26 and 35, suffering from gunshot wounds.

“Medical personnel pronounced both victims dead at the scene. Reports indicate that the shooter fled after targeting the victims directly.

“The motive behind the shooting appears to be gang-related.”

“Grassy Park detectives are currently investigating two counts of murder.”

Community activist from Parkwood, Paul Philips, mentioned that the deceased were recognized as gang affiliates.

Philips remarked: “From the information we have, the shooting is connected to gang issues; both individuals were actively engaged in gang activities.

“It appears they were deliberately targeted with the intent to kill, rather than being caught in a crossfire.

“Most of the ongoing gang conflicts revolve around territory, drugs, and rivalries. Recently, around three gang leaders have been eliminated in the vicinity, leading to cycles of retaliation and revenge.”
